Q. I have just exchanged contracts on a property that I intend to rent out. I need to furnish it but am really busy at work and my agent has suggested I use a recommended furniture package supplier, is this something you would recommend?

A. To meet today’s demands from Landlords, furniture package companies have become a real necessity as more and more of us live life in the fast lane with time consuming careers as well as being part time property investors that leave little time for anything else. As long as they come from a recommended source, package suppliers can provide you with everything you need to achieve that executive contemporary finish providing everything from a spoon down to larger items such as sofa’s and beds that are both stylish and cost effective. The consultant will usually meet up with you prior to completion to discuss colour schemes and ideas for the property so that as soon as the property completes the pack can be delivered and arranged, and the property dressed and ready to view to thus minimising any expensive void periods.
